Itaparica Island is situated in the Bay of All The Saints, shaped like a croissant thirty
kilometers long and ten kilometers wide. It has easy access by ferry boat or small
launchs, the crossing takes forty five minutes, you are going to feel very far and yet
very close to everything. Two main roads run the length and the width, the rest are
small dirt roads that take you to the beaches.

Barra do Gil is a small fishing village where time seems to stand still during siesta time.
From the beach it is possible to see Salvador on the horizon line just like a distant
souvenir of urbanisation. You realize that it is the ideal place to get over your jetlag or
the tiredness of long bus trips, Brazil is an immense country, what you need is a
tropical break and so you are welcome to your Pousada "Casa Tropicaliente".

The house has a shape of an Ť U ť surrounding a pool. On the left a dinning room with barbecue, in the middle the guest rooms with veranda and hammocks, on the right a salon with a pool table.Your room has a double bed, bathroom and living room with TV.
When returning from the beach which is five minutes walking, around the pool you will
find an outside shower which will cool you off from the warm weather, a kiosque with a palm leaf roof where you can enjoy some shade while you sip some fruit juice comtemplating the coconut and mango trees of the garden.
